A clear, practical
and supported

Becoming a Neurodiversity-Friendly School means taking concrete steps toward a fairer education. It is not a bureaucratic formality; it is a genuine improvement process with expert support at every stage.

"Here you will find each stage explained simply, because we believe inclusion should not be difficult to achieve."

Step by Step

The 7 Steps of the Process

Each stage is designed to help your school move forward with clarity, without pressure, and with the support it needs.

01

Enrollment

Create your institution's profile on our website. This will be your ongoing place to access documents, resources, and official communications throughout the process.

Starting Point

No commitment: registration is free and creates no obligations. It is the first step toward understanding your school's current situation.

02

Institutional Assessment

Complete the self-assessment survey, where the school evaluates its current practices in three key areas: accessibility, teacher training, and student support.

Self-Assessment

This is not an exam, but an honest starting point for identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. The goal is to understand the school's situation, not judge what it has yet to do.

03

Guidance Meeting

After the assessment, a specialized education coach meets with the school's leadership and/or guidance team. Together, they review the results, answer questions, and define the first concrete actions.

Meeting

04

Action Plan

The school receives concrete measures tailored to its size and context:

  • Individual support protocols for neurodivergent students

  • Strategies for effective communication with families

  • Including neurodiversity in the school's institutional documents

  • Teacher training — at least one mandatory workshop each year

Personalized Plan

The plan is tailored to your school's circumstances. There is no one-size-fits-all proposal; each school receives measures based on its assessment.

05

Implementation

The school puts the agreed actions into practice, with ongoing support from the education coach:

  • Training workshops and consulting sessions for teachers

  • Implementation of the support protocols set out in the plan

  • Use of downloadable materials and specialized educational resources

Real Action

06

Verification

Once the initial measures have been implemented, a compliance review is carried out. The school's actual evidence is checked:

  • Participation in the planned training

  • Effective use of support protocols

  • Records of active communication with families

  • Updated institutional documentation

Real evidence

07

Certification

If the school meets the agreed commitments, it receives the Neurodiversity-Friendly School Seal in digital and physical formats—a visible recognition that can be shared with the entire school community.

Recognition

Only the certification earned is communicated publicly; research responses remain anonymous.

Renewal and scientific contribution

The Seal is valid for one year. Each year, the school's progress is reviewed and its continuous improvement commitments are updated.

Annual validity

Participation in educational research is optional. Responses are analyzed anonymously; only schools that earn certification are identified publicly.

What does participation involve?

What the Seal asks and what it offers

🎯

Real commitment, not perfection

We are not looking for perfect schools — we are looking for committed schools. The process values genuine intent, steady progress, and a willingness to learn and improve.

🤝

Expert support

You will not be alone. A specialized education coach supports your school at every stage, from diagnosis through final verification and annual renewal.

📋

An annual training minimum

The process requires at least one teacher-training workshop per year. This ensures the school staff continues to build its knowledge of neurodiversity over time.

🔒

A stigma-free process

If a school has not yet earned certification, its result is not published or identified. The Seal recognizes verified practices and fulfilled commitments.

🏫

Any type of school can participate

Public, state-subsidized, or private. The level achieved depends only on what the school does — not on its size, budget, or location.

🔬

Impact beyond the school

Optionally, your school can contribute anonymously to educational research on neurodiversity. Only schools that earn certification are identified publicly.

CONSULTING

Would you like support throughout the process?

Consulting is a service completely independent of the Seal. Certification is based on what your school does—not on whether you hire a consultant. If you would like support during the process, these options are available.

ℹ️

Consulting does not affect the certification level. The Seal (Level 1, 2, or 3) is assigned solely according to the inclusive practices verified at your school. Whether or not you purchase consulting does not change the result. It is a support service for schools that want expert guidance on their journey toward inclusion.
